When it comes to fashion week, it can be tricky knowing which looks are there for runway impact and which represent a genuine and wearable upcoming trend. Colour, however, is usually a sure-fire way to tap into a specific catwalk aesthetic. And this season's hottest shade is, in fact, two. While pink was huge in early 2023 due to the Barbie film and subsequent global ‘Barbiecore’ infatuation, it was soon replaced for autumn/winter ‘23 by its sister shade, the equally bold pillar box red.
And while many A-listers are struggling to cut ties with the colour this red carpet season, there is, in fact, another colour trend on the horizon. Luckily for them, it’s not too far from their new comfort zone… The autumn/winter 2024 runways are currently taking place, with New York and London having already showcased their collections. And while we may still have Milan and Paris to go, there's no doubt that there was one key colour trend to come out of our own capital's catwalks
