The Family Care Center says it's a way to combat burnout by creating a positive and uplifting workplace culture. Employees at the clinic leave each other notes and other random goodies to brighten each other's day.The clinic started the mailboxes in January and says the positivity in the workplace increased in just a short time.
"So many studies say when you're kind it decreases anxiety and depression and increases self-esteem," Jamie Stobaugh, clinic supervisor, said. "We want all those good feelings." The clinic says that the random acts of kindness helped its workers transition back to the workplace after the clinic, and Stobaugh encourages other offices to try something similar.
