The lone survivor of a fatal lunch in which three people died has broken his silence at his local church, six months after the incident. Pastor Ian Wilkinson, 70, returned to Korumburra Baptist Church on Sunday February 11, to mark the 25th anniversary of his role at the church and the 45th anniversary of his wedding to his late wife Heather, the Herald Sun reported at the weekend.

In footage obtained by the outlet, Wilkinson, 70, told his congregation: “The ways are sometimes hard, but God is good. He’s with us.” Wilkinson was left fighting for life and three others, including his wife Heather, died after eating a beef wellington laced with deadly mushrooms allegedly prepared by Erin Patterson.
