Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Following the Loki season 2 finale, the trailer for the anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine makes Loki's Marvel Cinematic Universe ending all the more tragic. Tom Hiddleston's Loki is one of the longest-running characters in the MCU.

Yggdrasil is the multiverse tree that Loki created at the end of season 2, holding all the strands of the different multiversal branches. Based on the mural, it seems like Deadpool & Wolverine's story takes place after Loki season 2. A more recent theory for the movie has gained traction among MCU fans in the past few months. The Deadpool & Wolverine theory claims that the TVA would be recruiting several important heroes from all over the multiverse for Avengers: Secret Wars. The Deadpool & Wolverine trailer supported that theory, with Matthew Macfadyen's Paradox seemingly recruiting Deadpool to help the TVA, similar to how Owen Wilson's Mobius M. Mobius recruited Tom Hiddleston's Loki.
