Actor and producer Shona Ferguson's headstone was unveiled. Shona died of Covid-19-related complications at the Netcare Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg on 30 July 2021.
Family, friends, and colleagues of late actor and Ferguson Films co-founder Shona Ferguson all donned white to celebrate his life at his headstone unveiling, which was held recently. In the clips, followers on their social media accounts could see the ceremony from the chapel, where Shona's memorabilia and pictures of him and his wife were displayed. The candle-lit chapel ceremony was attended by those who have worked with Ferguson in their many productions on television.
Gospel singer Teboho Moloi sang, and he got actor Connie Ferguson to sing a Setswana hymn with him at her late husband's ceremony. At the gravesite Connie was with her children Lesedi, Ali and her sister Lorato Atosie Pilane, who all freed white doves after the headstone unveiling. The stone had an engraving of the Ferguson clan motto, 'Dulcius Ex Asperis' , a statue of the late actor, a bible scripture and an engraving of him wearing white with angel wings and a halo. "I still feel your presence so much, but the thought of never seeing you in your physical form again overwhelms me from time to time.
