Former Britain’s Got Talent star Olivia Archbold was spared jail after admitting she was involved in selling cannabis chocolate bars over the dark web.
The 23-year-old singer, who was pinned as the next Charlotte Church on the show, broke up and sold cannabis in batches to a number of people across the UK with her boyfriend, Alex Nash, 24, who used Bitcoin to order the drugs online from Holland and the US. The couple and their friends made up to £85,000 from the racket , injecting Tetrahydrocannabinol cannabis oil or THC into chocolate bars and sweets before posting them around the UK.
Archbold was given a nine-month sentence suspended for two years, and told she must complete 10 rehabilitation activity requirement days.In a text message to Nash, read aloud at Manchester Crown Court, Archbold said: ‘Sometimes you have to do things in a relationship, you don’t want to do them, but because your love of the person you’ll do anything.Judge Manley, said: ‘The psychological report prepared by the prosecution says you are someone who is, and has been easily manipulated.
