The Nine O'Clock Show on RTE Radio 1 is tied with the Brendan O'Connor Show for the second most listened to radio show in Ireland, according to the latest JLNR figures. Coming in at number one is Morning Ireland, also on RTE Radio 1. The data has showed that RTÉ holds 17 of the top 20 radio programmes broadcasting in Ireland. Since this time last year, 68,000 additional listeners are tuning in to RTÉ Radio 1 across the week.
Weekly listenership to RTÉ lyric fm has grown by 22,000, while 2fm has increased its weekday reach by 1% year on year. The Nine O'Clock Show, previously known as the Ryan Tubridy Show, saw a number of different presenters step in to host over the course of 2023, following Ryan Tubridy's departure amid the RTE payment scandal.
