Yemen’s Houthis say the latest round of airstrikes by the UK and US will not affect their decision to show support for Gaza. The Iran-backed group, which controls a large part of Yemen, has vowed to respond with more attacks on ships in the Red Sea.

Overnight, a wave of strikes hit 36 targets across 13 locations in Yemen. They came a night after the US targeted Iran-backed militia in Iraq and Syria. Iran has accused Britain and America of fuelling instability in the region by supporting Israel.
