Irish production company Element Pictures has received 11 Academy Award nominations for their film 'Poor Things'. This brings their total Oscar nods to 26, with two previous wins. The film will compete in multiple categories at the 96th Oscars ceremony.

Relationships with director Yorgos Lanthimos and Disney-owned backer Searchlight Pictures have been key to Irish production company’s success. The securing of 11 Academy Award nominations for the film Poor Things brings the total haul of Oscar nods earned by Element Pictures to 26.

Its films have already won two gold statuettes. Poor Things will compete in various categories at the 96th Oscars ceremony.
