He has been presenting morning TV for three years now yet Tommy Bowe still wakes up every day with a smile on his face. Not even the early commute from Belfast to the Ireland AM studio at Virgin Media in Dublin can put him in a bad mood. The former Ireland and Ulster rugby player knows that the world of television is "ruthless" when it comes to "insane" text messages and job security.

Things are never set in stone in TV and there have been a lot of changes recently with shows and presenting line-ups in both Virgin Media and RTÉ
