Strictly Come Dancing waved goodbye to its seventh celebrity in tonight's show following a dance-off between newsreader Krishnan Guru-Murthy and broadcaster Angela Rippon

Strictly Come Dancing has sent home its seventh celebrity after two stars competed in the dreaded dance-off.

“It’s right I am going out this week and I have got to get back to life. The thing that has made Strictly really special is Lauren. Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke all chose to save Angela, saying the dance-off had been close. Head judge Shirley Ballas said: “Well, I picked the person that I felt was more grounded on their feet without any technical errors, and I would have saved Krishnan and Lauren.”
