ITV star Trish Balusa has issued an apology after historic tweets, which have since been deleted, were discovered shortly after her eviction from Big Brother

ITV Big Brother's Trish Balusa has apologised for offensive social posts that came to light following her eviction last week.

In a statement on social media, Trish apologised for the "harmful stereotypes perpetuated" in the now-deleted tweets. "I'm aware that some very concerning old tweets of mine have re-surfaced," she said. She also said: "It is part of the reason why I am so passionate about standing up for others and holding myself to a high standard of responsibility and accountability for my actions."
