Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT New MCU fan art imagines four terrifying villains who could appear in Marvel Studios' upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars. First announced by Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige at SDCC 2022, the MCU's Avengers: Secret Wars is set to bring Phase 6 and the Multiverse Saga to a close in 2027, almost two decades since the MCU first kicked off with 2008's Iron Man.
While Avengers: Secret Wars will likely include a huge number of superheroes, the project will also put prominent Marvel villains front-and-center. Four of these iconic villains have been imagined in a series of stunning artworks shared by Kode Abdo, a.k.a. Bosslogic, including Doctor Doom, Galactus and the Silver Surfer, Venom, and the Scarlet Witch.
Theories have been rife regarding which characters may be featured in Marvel Studios' Secret Wars. Many previous heroes are thought to be returning, and characters from other Marvel franchises are expected to make appearances, too, but the project is also expected to include notable villains, just like Marvel Comics' Secret Wars events in 1984 and 2015.
Why The Avengers Need To Face Multiple Villains In Secret Wars Close Avengers: Secret Wars has the potential to rival the magnitude and impact of the Infinity Saga's Infinity War and Endgame, should the Marvel Comics' storylines be adapted somewhat accurately for the MCU. 1984's original Secret Wars event saw a selection of heroes and villains plucked from the Marvel Universe and taken to Battleworld to fight for the nefarious Beyonder's enjoyment.
Both of these storylines in Marvel Comics featured practically every available hero and villain from the Marvel Universe, so Marvel Studios will likely adapt this element for the MCU.
