BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans were left "gutted" as presenter Tess Daly made a series announcement when she opened the show on Saturday, November 4.

Opening the show during week seven, Tess said: "Welcome to Strictly Come Dancing, it's week seven and we are officially at the half way point." Introducing judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel-Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke, Claudia said: "And nothing gets past these four, please welcome the judges. Now Craig is the only one who hasn't reached for his 10-paddle yet, so it is business as usual."
