Murphy's Logic and reflections on 45+ years of broadcasting | SaltWireSYDNEY, N.S. – Five Cape Bretoners took home awards at Nova Scotia Music Awards in Yarmouth on Sunday.

Singer/songwriter Nicole Ariana, originally of Sydney, took home Music Video of The Year for Shameless and the R&B/Soul Recording of the Year for Crybaby. Meanwhile, Jon Hines claimed the Blues Recording of the Year for A Pale Blue Dot, and Elyse Aeryn was given the Country Recording of the Year for Joy State of Mind.

Rankin MacInnis was given the Entertainer of the Year award, while Nik MacDonald was presented with the Emerging Industry Professional of the Year.
