Nasarawa Is Not Owing N70bn As Claimed, Says Al-Makura – Channels Television

The Nasarawa State Governor, Tanko Al-Makura, has refuted online debt reports which indicated that the state is owing N70 billion.

“One issue I will like to talk about is the issue that is now awash in the social media about debt here and there. I think we should disregard that as not something to rely upon,” he said.The governor added, “Those of you that are here know what efforts we have done in Nasarawa State to ensure the comfort of our people but very soon, by the time the committee of transition is done with its job, everything will be very clear to all the people in Nasarawa state.

Governor Al-Makura insisted that his government has no debt to settle as they worked hard to deliver the dividend of democracy to the people.
