David Fisher David Fisher is Nathaniel and Ruth's second son. David is the uptight son ready to take over the family business. He is one of Six Feet Under's best characters as he goes through a huge transformation arch. During the five seasons, he has one major relationship with Keith Charles, even though he was previously engaged to a woman. David and Keith have two adoptive sons: Anthony and Durrell.
Brenda Chenowith-Fisher Brenda Chenowith is Nate's girlfriend. Even though they come and go throughout the entire show, they eventually get married in the final season. Brenda is not only Nate's girlfriend but one of Six Feet Under's best characters. She is the daughter of Margaret and Bernard, two psychiatrists who have their moment in the show; and sister of Billy, who has a relationship with Claire. Additionally, Brenda and Nate have a daughter, Willa.
Maya Fisher Maya Fisher is Nate and Lisa's daughter. At first, Maya is normally raised by Nate and Lisa. After Lisa dies, Barb and Hoyt try to take Maya away from Nate, but after the truth about Lisa and Hoyt's affair comes out and Hoyt shoots himself, Maya stays permanently under Nate's care. Once Nate gets back together with Brenda, and they get married, Brenda becomes a step-mom for Maya. Finally, after Nate's death, Brenda takes care of Maya.
Sarah O'Connor Sarah O'Connor is Ruth's sister. She is a recurring character in the show. Although she isn't part of the Fisher's tree since she is an O'Connor, she has a significant role in the family. As an aunt, she is very important to Claire, being the one who encourages her to become an artist, for example. Sarah is the exact opposite of Ruth, a sort of hippie with a strong feeling of freedom.
