As part of the Nottingham Comedy Festival, which got underway this weekend, Nottingham Express Transit hosted a four-pronged show along one of its routes on Saturday, November 4. Setting off from Toton Lane at 12.05pm, the performances were split into five 15-minute sets by comics as the tram snaked its way through the city and up to Hucknall.
Just like that, the awkwardness was palpable, a 'welcome to the comedy tram' was followed by some observational humour, which descended into a conversation with a passenger. A dwindling crowd meant there was little energy to work with, but the final performer managed to muster his own.
