Russell Brand has been slapped with a new lawsuit alleging that he sexually assaulted an extra on the set of the movie “Arthur” in 2010 as a crew member “guarded the door from outside.”The scandal-scarred actor, 48, allegedly “appeared intoxicated, smelled of alcohol, and was carrying a bottle of vodka on set” before the assault, according to an affidavit filed in the case,
“The sexual assault happened later that same day when I was in the bathroom,” the affidavit alleges. “Mr Brand entered after me and assaulted me, as a member of the production crew guarded the door from outside.”The lawsuit adds to the existing allegations made by four women against the British actor, all of which he denies.“As a result of the sexual abuse, I suffered and continue to suffer extreme embarrassment, shame, and fear.
The suit, reportedly brought under the state’s Adult Survivors Act, accuses the companies of negligence and aiding Brand by tolerating his alleged crude behavior on set. Another accuser, who was 16 at the time and is known only by the pseudonym “Alice,” alleged the then-31-year-old called her “the child” and assaulted her during their “emotionally abusive and controlling” three-month relationship, according to the report.
