A BENEFITS cheat who claimed she could barely walk was caught running with her dog at Crufts.despite pocketing the highest rate of disability benefit, a court heard.
Investigators from the Department of Work and Pensions then tailed Avery to another dog show where they filmed her lifting and preparing dogs for the ring. Avery, of Plymouth, Devon, who does walk with a stick, pleaded guilty to dishonestly failing to notify an improvement in her condition affecting her claim for Disability Living Allowance between October 2014 and July 2016.She was ordered by Judge James Townsend to carry out 20 rehabilitation activity days and 100 hours unpaid work.
The video - which has now been released by the DWP shows Avery brushing her dog while the pampered pooch stands on a table, before lifting it off and running around a paddock with the dog on a lead.
