Born in Dublin into a musical family, a career in music beckoned for David Kitt. The singer-songwriter grew up in Ballinteer surrounded by tunes, as his father and uncle played in a successful folk group throughout his childhood.
Kitt studied music technology in Trinity College, before recording and mixing eight tracks in his bedroom for his debut release, Small Moments, in 2000. He went on to release eight more albums, including 2001’s The Big Romance, which went double platinum, and Square 1 in 2003. He has also released music and toured under his electronic alias, New Jackson.
