The police have arrested three persons following a gunfight with suspected cultists in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
The shootout took place on Monday when a team of police personnel raided a den of the suspects believed to be specialised in ritual murder and kidnapping for ritual purposes at Adama community.The suspects were said to have opened fire on sighting the security operatives and used some of their hostages as shield.
Elkana revealed that other members of the gang made an attempt to attack a police station at Imota community, also in Ikorodu. During the operation that lasted for about one hour, two Police Officers were injured and three suspects were arrested namely, Ahmed Hassan, Daniel Enyin and Olaniran Alium. One Hadiyat Sikiru f 18yrs, an SS1 Student was hit by a stray bullet.
