The Hamas border authority told hundreds of foreign nationals and Palestinian dual citizens to show up at the Rafah border crossing Wednesday.

Israeli security forces arrested a senior Fatah official in the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank late Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces said, as the Palestinian Health Ministry said three people were killed in the camp.

Atta Abu Rumaila, the secretary of Fatah — the party that leads the Palestinian Authority, which governs Palestinian parts of the West Bank — “incited, promoted, and financed” terrorism, the Israel Defense Forces said in a message posted on social media on Wednesday. His son was also arrested, the IDF said. Witnesses reported loud gunshots and a long procession of four-wheel-drives surrounding the camp, and said Abu Rumaila was arrested just after 11 p.m. on Tuesday.
