Ms. Lauryn Hill Postpones Second Concert Due to Vocal Injury

Hill called off her show in Fort Worth, Texas, on Monday, Oct. 30, after previously postponing a concert in Philadelphia last week. In a statement shared on social media yesterday, Hill said, “I fought through the last couple shows, pushing my voice, and masking the injury with medication. This isn’t safe or sustainable.”The musician added that she woke up Monday “hoping to have enough voice” to perform but could “barely talk let alone sing or rap.

Rescheduled dates for the Forth Worth and Philadelphia concerts have yet to be announced. As it stands, Hill is set to return to the stage Nov. 2 at the Ball Arena in Denver. She officially kicked off the. Dates are currently scheduled through Nov. 9 in Seattle, and throughout the run, Hill will be joined by the Fugees’ Pras Michel and Wyclef Jean.
