Robert De Niro has appeared in court to deny 'nonsense' claims from his ex-assistant after she sued him for alleged abusive behaviour. The double Oscar winner hit out at the claims by Graham Chase Robinson, who worked for him between 2008 and 2019, during an ill-tempered court hearing in New York.

'Can I ask a question?' De Niro asked in another exchange with Ms Robinson's lawyer. The request was denied.
