Health secretary warns reality TV shows after death of Love Island star Mike Thalassitis

Why does he have to warn them, a company that really cared would cancel any future series to prevent and repeat of such deaths

When someone thinks they r something special .........then bang reality looms....... Hardly newsworthy sky ...Try reporting about the riots in france at wkend or is that not in yr agenda?

Err, what kind of personality takes this kind of show seriously?

What twaddle. They are adults and go into the show with eyes open (I presume) and eager for the fame, now suddenly everyone else needs to supply them with nappies. I'm sorry self inflicted injuries don't get much sympathy in my book.

hardly anyone watches them, they are trash the young ones that watch them are looking for some excitement missing in their real lives

I think “reality” TV should come with a health warning anyway.

Ban the shows

These shows give people a glance into a world that they probably will never enjoy for life. Bands have suffered from this for decades hence the life expectancy in the music industry is so low. .

Health secretary sounds like a quack. Doesn't appear his mental stability had anything to do with being 'famous' but the loss of two people he loved dearly....

You cannot possibly blame one reality TV show for this tragedy. Modern society is pushing our younger generations to despair. This Insta generation are headed for mental health problems of epic proportions. All because you must look, act, talk & dress in a certain way.
