Person trapped in vehicle after ‘serious’ crash at Baree near Rockhampton

A young driver was trapped by her vehicle after a “serious crash” at an intersection near Rockhampton. The girl in her late teens collided with another car at the intersection of Calliungal and Razorback Rds at Baree about 6.55am on Tuesday. Her leg was trapped by her vehicle, before emergency services were able to free her from the wreckage.

She was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition. A man driving other the vehicle suffered neck injuries and was taken to same hospital, also in a stable condition. “Motorists are advised that Razorback Rd at Baree in the Rockhampton District is closed due to a serious traffic crash,” police tweeted. “Motorists should use the Burnett Hwy to avoid the crash site.”
