said in a heartbreaking post Sunday that his wife, actor Bridgette Wilson-Sampras, has ovarian cancer and is going through “an exceptionally challenging time.”
In a statement released through the Association of Tennis Professionals, Sampras wrote that Wilson-Sampras has gone through major surgery and chemotherapy and is continuing with maintenance therapy.“It is hard to watch someone you love go through a challenge like this,” he said, while praising his two sons for stepping up in support of their mother.
“I have also learned that it is very hard to reach for support when something is simply too hard to talk about,” he concluded his statement. “With that said, I will end this by humbly asking for good thoughts and prayers for our family as Bridgette continues to thrive on her healing journey.”By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
