Medical student apologises over sexist, racist rant

Aspiring doctor Kiren Raj has apologised for making sexist and racist remarks online which has triggered widespread condemnation and a police report.

Kiren, 27, apologised publicly during an event organised by MCA public complaints bureau head Michael Chong. "I never meant to cause harm. Please forgive me. Moreover, I never meant to be derogatory to women. Women have contributed a lot to society. "We must always treat them respectfully. I am so sorry that I was ignorant in making those comments," he said.Following the death of actress Karen Kong in a road accident on March 9, Kiren had shared his thoughts on the matter through Facebook and was widely condemned as being sexist and racist.His school, the International Medical University , has barred Kiren from attending class pending an internal inquiry.

Pity his parents for bringing up such hopeless son...sorry is too late.
