PHOTOS: State Govt Commences Demolition Of Marked Buildings In Lagos Island – Channels Television

Updated March 15, 2019The Lagos State Government has commenced the demolition of buildings marked on Freeman Street at the Ita Faji area of Lagos Island.

This follows the collapse of a three-storey building on Massey Street in the same area on Wednesday, killing school children and some other occupants of the building, while many others were left injured.

This execution should be carryout all over the federation. We don't need to wait until it happened.

Why do we always wait for disaster to happen, before we do the right things . These demolitions should have been done long before this horrible disaster

The FCT minister should visit Sokale behind Masgate hotel in Dutse Allaji Abuja, there is 3 storey building without any pillars and full of Tennant. The building has crack from the top to the bottom.. Many will die if FCT Minister refuse to act in Abuja. MBuhari FCTAgency

They should do it with a human face and not just evict people without a temporary abode.

This is more like a lasting solution. I hope a thorough job is done, devoid of nigerianfactor.

Why did it took so long

I strongly align with Lagos State government now, it shows the days of empty threats are gradually fading. More should be done to support the building control agency to succeed in its work.

This is not demolition pls don't let us pay lip services to serious matter. Let us put dem on there toes
