Five military veteran friends are adjusting to life as civilians after feeling like their country didn't set them up with the financial security they'd need when they returned from war.
That's where the get-rich-quick scheme comes in. Oscar Isaac devises a plan to rob Gabirel Lorea, a South American drug lord he's been tracking for years. But he can't do it alone, so he enlists the help of Ben Affleck , Charlie Hunnam , Pedro Pascal , and Garrett Hedlund . The veterans are equipped with specialized skills to ultimately make the heist run smoothly, but not everything goes according to plan.Netflix categorizes the film under these genres: Action & Adventure, Action Thrillers, Crime Action & Adventure, and Gangster Movies. I mean, the movie surrounds a high-stakes heist, so the shoot-outs and car chase scenes are definitely there...is more of a drama. After 125 minutes, I learned their friendship was the major focal point of the story.
And also the very worst side of masculinity, which is solving problems through violence. Why did I watch it?
So stupid. They were supposed to be elite tacticians and literally had nothing planned.
I couldn't even finish it, it was so so so bad...
Just finished it with my hubby and it was INFINITELY FRUSTRATING. 🤬
I was fine until it turned in to Homeward Bound in the middle.
