A Florida jury needed only five hours to convict David Tronnes, 55, of killing his wife, Shanti Cooper-Tronnes, 39, in 2018.

Updated: Oct. 20, 2023, 4:27 a.m.ORANGE COUNTY, Florida — A Florida man accused of killing his wife because she refused his requests that they appear on a home-improvement TV show has been found guilty of murder.

Prosecutors say Tronnes had spent thousands of dollars on renovations to their home in Orlando, Fla., and was hoping to have it featured on the reality show “Zombie House Renovations.” However, Cooper-Tronnes did not want to appear on the show, prosecutors say. Tronnes later called police and claimed he found his wife in the bathtub, telling police that he had been busy walking his dogs and also cleaning.
