The San Diego International Film Festival is celebrating 22 years and is taking over UTC.

SAN DIEGO — The 22nd Annual San Diego International Film Festival has officially kicked off its five-day extravaganza in University City.

This year’s theme is “Celebrating the Power of Film” and features curated screenings that include studio premieres, features, documentaries and shorts from independent filmmakers. The celebration starts on Oct. 18 and runs until Oct. 22. In addition to movie screenings, the five-day festival features parties, panels and networking events at various San Diego locations.

Compelling social impact films are slated to premiere at the festival. Including Q&A's that will discuss inclusion, PTSD in the military, human trafficking, LGBTQIA+ rights and other topics affecting the world. Oct. 19- Oct. 22 In-Person Screenings AMC UTC 14 @ Westfield UTC Cinema fans will get a chance to enjoy studio premieres, independent features, documentaries, short films. While you wait for your next film, enjoy the festival lounge for bites, cocktails and conversations with other film fans. Culinary Cinema is described as the perfect recipe for Sunday fun and foodies. Enjoy a cuisine themed movie, and after the film enjoy some dishes inspired by San Diego chefs.
