As Avengers: Twilight tells the story of Captain America's last mission, Alex Ross' art gives Steve a makeover... and strips him of his shield.

In jaw-dropping new art from acclaimed creator Alex Ross, Captain America showcases his final costume, as the Avengers face their end in a future where humanity have lost faith in Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Coming January, Avengers: Twilight was already going to be an artistic accomplishment with Daniel Acuña at the helm, but Ross' contributions make this series something truly special.

Ross' art depicts an older Steve Rogers in a tactical, semi-armored version of his Captain America suit. Notably, Captain America bears some prominent facial scars - likely a result of what's implied to be a disastrous mission that lost the world's trust. There's also a pretty major omission that hints at how bad things have become for Steve...
