Music service files complaint with European commission over subscription ‘tax’

Spotify has filed a complaint with European regulators arguing that Apple limits choice and competition in its app store, giving its own music streaming service an unfair advantage over rivals.

In the article, Spotify used Uber and Deliveroo as examples of where they don’t have to pay 30% app commission. That’s rich as they are both free apps and they deliver services direct to the consumer (taxis & food) whereas Spotify deliver to the device itself. Big difference!
