The FBI today charged a slew of wealthy parents, including celebrities Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman, in a bribery scheme to get their children admitted into some of the nation's most elite colleges.
The scheme involved bribing college entrance exam administrators to allow a third party to facilitate cheating on college entrance exams, in some cases by posing as the actual students and in other cases by providing students with the right answers during the exams or correcting their answers after they completed the tests, according toAmong those charged are "Desperate Housewives" star Huffman and Loughlin of "Full House" fame.
HeatherChilders even our university system is corrupt. This is sad and bad.
Hollywood's stars are getting a bit tarnished
Well, this is SO unfair! Don’t people understand the parents were forced to do this because affirmative action quotas routinely discriminate against privileged, wealthy, low scoring, white children!?
The schools are at fault
Maybe they can play themselves in the movie?
With all the money that FelicityHuffman and WilliamHMacy have they couldn’t hire the best tutors to teach their children? Maybe like so many brats of privilege they are too entitled, undisciplined and spoiled that they were never required to buckle down and apply themselves?
SpeakerPelosi Parents don’t do their kids any favors teaching them the EASY WAY OUT.If a child is having problems w/school work, which many do at some time or another, get them a good tutor, involve them in sports.Teach them not to be lazy, but to work to get ahead.realDonaldTrump
Has Trump tweeted about this yet? No?
Appears that some colleges are also giving students a free pass to graduate. Today, college just seems to be a rubber stamp for credentials and social activity/contacts.
Guaranteed every kid on their high school athletic teams knew there was no way those kids who were bribed into these schools could have legitimately earned a spot.
Comforting to know money can still buy you things. Hold up a minute, I forgot I don’t have any😩
Rich people with 2 much money. The Greatest Generation knew how 2 fix that.
We as a 'High School High' very forgiving Supa Dupa Nation assume that this minor -cosmetic after all-incident had been innocently resorted to after all tutoring and parenting options failed to tame our spoiled national fortunater than our average talents of our offspring in 🇺🇸
Will FBI investigate how Kavanaugh got a lifetime seat on SCOTUS ? If we can buy our way into Harvard we can certainly bribe ourselves into SCOTUS elite colleges maddow business maggieNYT Trump must be the biggest buyer. trumplies trumpcheats stephenathome joenbc
I think donaldglover needs a 'this is america' follow up
The wealthy, lazy & pretentious, like Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman do this all of the time. If you think that it's just college you're wrong. If the FBI looked at all of the private HS parents giving out money to get their kids in schools &... nvm FightOn
The wealthy earn everything they have and contribute more to society. Or some bullshit like that, amirite?
Well well, this is how it works for the rich. Don’t say their children didn’t know. They know exactly if they are capable of getting into prestigious universities. Taking fake sport photos, let alone ACT & SAT’S really This is the epitome of entitlement.
How do you think Trump got into college? How many buildings at Ivy League schools where funded for entrance into colleges students weren’t qualified for?
I mean, I thought that’s how it worked?
I wonder how did Obama get his daughter into Harvard?...
Then the place the same stupid children into their companies.
This is terrible. It's one thing when wealth and power allow an unqualified child to get into a university when the university knows about it, but when the university doesn't know about, it seems to be problematic.
Stupidest thing ever! We have REAL problems and this is not one of them!
