Dr. Steven Schlozman calculates that over the course of his career, he's called CVS for his patients an average of three times a day, and listened to their staticky, scratchy piano music for about a minute and a half each time. (WBUR)

soothing."

"I think this is a very small thing, but a really, really good thing, and I'm not trying to be ironic here at all," he says."This is a multi[billion]-dollar corporation, CVS, but they listened to what their customers had to say and they made a change. And why is this news. Its hold music. Who cares?

How about just not being put on hold?!

I’m just thankful my day generally doesn’t include sitting on hold with CVS.

I’m waiting for the day when CVS/Walgreen’s ‘hold music’ is sold as advertising space to Keytruda.

That’s great, but when will they stop printing out a novel on each receipt?

I would like to lot live in some corporatocratic dystopia where my doctor, my insurer, and my pharmacy are not all employees of the same company

I never once have shopped cvs. Is it that great?

I would like affordable health care. I would like for powerful ivy-league educated rich people to care about saving the lives of those less fortunate as much as they care about their own comfort.

Easy to program link to good radio service such as Rhapsody or Spotify, for a small fee.

My best recent on-hold experience was with the trash company, strangely enough. They also do recycling and compost. This city has a lot of ever-changing regulations about disposal and they provided useful information when I was on hold.

Groundbreaking.

I would like silence when holding.

CVS to change on hold musicto Lil Wayne? Change it to highway to hell. I think they should replace their on-hold music with people reading complaints about CVS. This would provide an incentive not to have people on hold very long.
