The latest Newspoll shows Labor has extended its lead over the Coalition, with the government dropping to 46 per cent, against the Opposition’s 56 in two-party-preferred.
These results show the 50th consecutive Newspoll loss for the Coalition. Prime Minister Scott Morrison has maintained his lead over Labor leader Bill Shorten as preferred prime minister, though the gap has narrowed since the last poll to seven points.
