An Adelaide teenager has leapt from her car moments before it burst into flames on the Salisbury Hwy. Hajar Yassini, 19, who purchased the car on Tuesday, said she’d only had the second-hand Mazda for about 15 minutes before the emergency, with the dealer who sold it to her now under investigation.

She was soon battling flames which “kept getting bigger and bigger” before the fire engulfed the whole vehicle. “It was just so scary because it was genuinely a life-threatening situation,” she said. The incident occurred soon after she had bought the car from the Commuter Cars Auto Repairs Wingfield dealership for $5000.
