The surviving victim of the weekend’s targeted daylight shooting outside a busy Melbourne shopping centre has left hospital. Four balaclava-clad men fired multiple rounds of bullets into Robert Issa and his 28-year-old associate while they were sitting in a parked Mercedes-Benz outside Craigieburn Central shopping centre on Saturday afternoon.
Surviving victim of ambush shooting in Craigieburn discharged from hospital. Issa died at the scene and his associate spent two days in hospital with serious injuries. He was discharged from hospital on Monday, but police said the Hadfield man was not co-operating with detectives. Issa is understood to have high-level gangland links and police are probing his death in relation to escalating gang violence across Melbourne.
