CHICAGO—A grand jury indicted actor Jussie Smollett on 16 felony counts of disorderly conduct for filing a false police report after he allegedly staged an attack on himself in late January, according to court documents filed Thursday.
Chicago police last month charged Mr. Smollett, a star of Fox’s “Empire” television show, with disorderly conduct for filing a false police report. He turned himself into police shortly after and was released from custody after posting $10,000 on his $100,000 bond.
How can you commit a hate crime against yourself? A false report might be a misdemeanor, but not a jail crime .

A grand jury is not a conviction. This was a secret process where only the prosecutor gets to argue his case, pick and choose what he wants them to hear. They still have to have a jury trial. Im not saying hes innocent. But im not saying he is guilty. He has not been Convicted.
