Chip says Chris Brown, Roddy Ricch collaborations aren't a snub to UK

If you know Chip, formerly known as Chipmunk, then you’ll know he’s one of the most connected artists in the UK.

It’s a great fusion of flows from both sides of the pond but Chip insists he will always support homegrown talent first.before his show on Chicken Shop Date’s The Hot Sauce Tour: ‘You’ve got to take it into perspective that before Chris Brown etc, I’d done a lot of groundwork in England with a lot of artists.

‘When I was working with Chris Brown, I was still living in England and going on trips [to America] to record songs. ‘Once you’re past that 10-year mark, not a lot of people have survived, there were a lot of people in the charts popping when I had my debut album and they’re just not around anymore.He added light-heartedly: ‘Some people think I’m actually good, that helps.
