Christopher Ingraham/The Washington Post By Christopher Ingraham Christopher Ingraham Reporter covering all things data Email Bio Follow March 8 at 12:50 PM According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 206 measles cases were confirmed in the United States in the first two months of this year, the highest year-to-date number going back more than a quarter-century.
Christopher Ingraham/The Washington Post The unusually large number of cases early in the year does not necessary portend a record high annual total in 2019. In 2015, for instance, there were 154 cases in the first two months of the year followed by 34 for the remainder of the year, putting it at right about average relative to the past decade’s annual totals.
“Many of this year’s cases stem from an outbreak in Washington state, and nearly all of those involve children who weren’t vaccinated against the disease.” Nearly?!? So what does that say about the ones who were vaccinated and got the measles. Didn’t seem to work for them.
We won't build a wall Break or lock up families Our solution to the problem Pretend there's nothing to see Russians, climate change Spread lies so much that's Real We don't care disease is spreading We're safe up on Capitol Hill … … … … … … … …

Of course it is because all those anti-vaccine people are diminishing herd protection!
There was something like 600 cases in 2014. At 200 we are only a third of the way there. Maybe don’t fear monger? Yes we should vaccinate if we can. But my golly
Just want to extend a hearty thank you to the anti-vax community for giving us the heartwarming gift of measles!
Interesting what happens when you strip actual science out of the federal government. People have been pushed back into 1940 thinking, like a bunch of cats chasing a string...idiots! FactsMatter
