Angelina Jolie's Maleficent sequel has been given a big calendar boost as Disney bosses have moved the film's debut up seven months

New cast members include: Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ed Skrein, Robert Lindsay and Harris Dickinson.

In the sequel, directed by Joachim Ronning , Disney's most notorious villain continues to explore her complex relationship with Princess Aurora, the soon to be queen, as they form alliances against new adversaries.
