Scottish Government officials have been accused of “snubbing” an offer to join an international coalition to axe fossil fuels.
In April, the SNP-Green government was asked to join other members - including Wales, Ireland, Denmark, France and Sweden - for a “ministerial roundtable” in Washington DC. Top officials at BOGA also said their spring meetings could be used to “formalise Scotland as a Friend of BOGA” - but Scottish officials stalled them on this too, asking if there would instead be an autumn meeting.
He has also criticised Rishi Sunak’s drive to “max out” the North Sea and his government's recent approval of the massive, controversial Rosebank oil field. They continued: “All governments have to do to become a Friend of BOGA is sign the BOGA Declaration and state their interest in furthering BOGA’s goals and exploring membership.
