Tesla’s website says the autopilot feature of their cars is only ‘intended for use with a fully attentive driver, who has their hands on the wheel and is prepared to take over at any time.’The feature was created with the intention of making the roads safer by helping drivers avoid common errors which can lead to accidents.He suspects the man had trained himself to keep his limb there while dozing to trick the autopilot into believing he was conscious.
