Coronation Street viewers have been patiently waiting for serial killer Stephen Reid's downfall and actor Todd Boyce confirms they won't be disappointed.
The actor said he is "thrilled" with his final story on the ITV soap as Stephen will get a "fitting" end, according to Todd. Speaking at a press event, Todd said: "It's sad on the one hand but also gratifying because there is closure, and it's an arc of almost 28 years." On his last day of filming, he added: "It was great, it wasn't emotional until the entire building came into the studio to give me gifts and say lovely words, and I managed to keep it together. My penultimate scene was with Sue Nicholls which was fantastic as we worked together 28 years ago.
Speaking about how fans will react to his exit, Todd added: "Yeah I do think it's fitting, the audience will be pleased with how it shakes out. I think they’ve put up with a lot of frustration, there’s been murderers in history that have been undetected for decades but in the world of soap, you can probably only put up with that injustice for so long.
