Obrang sining ng Filipino artists tampok sa Art Trek 15 sa Singapore

SINGAPORE - Tampok sa ika-15 edisyon ng Art Trek, isang annual Filipino art exhibition sa Singapore ang all-Filipino exhibition na “In Excess” sa 3rd floor ng Gajah Gallery sa Tanjong Pagar Distripark na isang multidisciplinary industrial arts cluster hub.

Ngayong taon, tampok ang artworks ng labing-isang Filipino artists tulad ng mga sumusunod: Victor Balanon; Annie Cabigting; Imelda Cajipe-Endaya; Charlie Co; Louie Cordero; Marina Cruz; Leslie de Chavez; Geraldine Javier; Mark Justiniani; Maria Jeona Zoleta at Christina Quisumbing Ramilo. Ipinagdiriwang sa exhibition ang iba-ibang pakahulugan ng “excess” o “sobra” o “napaka” na maaaring tumukoy sa pagdadagdag at iba pang negatibo at positibong konotasyon ng termino.

Taon taong inoorganisa ng embahada ng Pilipinas sa Singapore ang Art Trek. Mula nang sinimulan nila ito taong 2007 sa pakikipagtulungan ng Singapore galleries, naitampok na rito ang mga obra ng mahigit sa 200 Filipino artists. Patunay ang kooperasyong ito sa sining ng malalim na cultural at artistic na koneksyon sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Singapore.
