The Irish-born architect Kevin Roche has died aged 96, leaving his mark on world-class buildings including major airports and art museums.
Mr Roche designed more than 200 buildings around the globe, winning the Pritzker Architecure Prize in 1982 - the industry's equivalent of the Nobel prize. A spokesman from his architectural firm said he died of natural causes at his home in Guilford, Connecticut, on Friday.Roche designed the Convention Centre Dublin in his native IrelandHe relocated to the US three years later and, with his business partner, set up the firm Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo Associates in 1966.This includes the TWA Flight Center at JFK International Airport and the Dulles Airport outside Washington DC.
