The singer says she is not 'the face of the LGBTQ rights movement' but wants to put on a show to make LGBTQ fans 'feel special'.

Grande, 25, returned to Manchester two weeks after the attack to perform at the One Love concert, which she organised to raise funds for victims.

This will be her first show in the city since the gig, which also featured a performance from Liam Gallagher. She said that playing in the city once again was important, adding:"I wanna visit a city that means so much to me." In her post, she said LGBTQ representation"is incredibly important" but pointed out that"over the years, Pride events have been headlined by performers and artists of all sexual orientations and genders, including straight allies like Cher and Kylie Minogue".

"I'm not claiming to be the hero of the community or the face of the LGBTQ rights movement - I just wanna put on a show that makes my LGBTQ fans feel special and celebrated and supported." Grande also responded to criticism over the price of the tickets for Manchester Pride, saying:"I have nothing to do with ticket pricing - Manchester Pride sets those rates, and they're mostly out of my control."

Oh look. Somebody said something about being straight. Tin hats on here come the haters

Alan Partridge gif will appear.

The offended brigade are out in force

Umm straight pride doesn’t exist because straight people have literally never been oppressed and they kinda have no culture so what’s the point

There's no pride than this.

Imagine the uproar if straight people said a gay person couldn't perform at an event for straight people. Even still imagine being able to have an event for straight people without an uproar.

Because there's nothing that could make someone in the LGBTQ community feel better about themselves than a concert with an over-hyped Mickey Mouse Club-acting self pretentious uneducated media whore!

Stop any public funding to these pride events ie , policing , medical services, paid for by taxpayers for blatant dicriminating.Let them isolate them selves and fully fund their events.Imagine the cries if stopped a gay hosting none gay event, be rivers of self pity.

Why is this nonsense news?

Probably has a new album coming out

The professionally offended involved in 'backlash'? Imagine my surprise.🤨

What’s good for the goose....

Fuck me, talk about ironic discrimination
